Sterling Silver Fenian Claddagh Ring

€120.00

A handmade minimal Fenian Claddagh ring in recycled sterling silver.

Fenian Claddaghs were sometimes used as symbols of resistance to British rule in Ireland, taking the form of a Claddagh with the crown removed.

Claddaghs themselves are believed to be rooted in medieval 'fede' rings, which usually took the form of two hands joined together, symbolising union and trust.

As with my standard Claddagh rings, I individually freehand draw the design for each ring onto recycled sterling silver sheet, then hand piercing, forming, and finishing each one - swipe through the photos to see how it's done!

Hallmarked for solid sterling silver 925 by Dublin Assay Office.
