A pair of barbed wire drop earrings, individually handmade in solid sterling silver or solid 9ct yellow gold. As each link on these earrings are entirely handmade, each one is unique giving them an appealing organic variance.
Each barbed wire link is individually made - not cast - by twisting, wrapping, and soldering together wire to secure them in place before being connected with elongated oval links allowing them to move freely. The barbs are blunted for comfort.
Hallmarked for solid sterling silver .925 or 9ct yellow gold by Dublin Assay Office. Handmade by me in my Dublin studio using recycled precious metals. Supplied with secure butterfly backs.
These earrings have been designed as an asymmetrical pair, so one is longer than the other (one is approx 4.5 inches, the other is approx 3.5 inches in length).
